Single View Candidates

Single View Candidates

Relevant for: Normal Observers, Lead Observers, Moderators (see "Observer roles in the App")
To view the individual results of all Candidates, click on the "Details Button" under the Candidates' scores below the consolidated matrix (no matter if rating or ranking).

At the top you will see the name of the Candidate. You can export and save the table and the graphic by clicking on the "save icon” on the far right.

At the bottom you can choose between "Rating", "Notes" and "Reports".

Rating

If you click on "Rating" in the bottom row, you will see the consolidated values or the finalized values from the Conference for the individual competencies per exercise for a Candidate in the consolidated matrix. Either the consolidated or finalized numerical values or the consolidated or finalized symbols/characters are displayed here if you have activated this function in the Cockpit.  You can also view the candidates' Self Assessment in the competencies here if you have activated this option in the cockpit (see "Self Assessment") and the candidates have also done this in the Candidate Portal (see "Questionnaires, tests & Self Assessment").
On the left side of this matrix, all competencies that were observed and evaluated in the exercises are listed individually. In the header you can see all exercises of the Assessment. If you have stored Competency Clusters in the Cockpit, logically related competencies are displayed categorized by clusters in the matrix.

In addition, different mean values are formed in each case.
  1. On the right side you can see the automatically calculated mean values of the consolidated scores of each single competency for the respective Candidate.
  2. In the bottom row you can see the competency averages of the ratings in the individual exercises.
  3. In the bottom right corner, the mean value of all values given in the Assessment for a Candidate is calculated, independent of competencies and exercises.
  4. If you have stored Competency Clusters in the Cockpit, you will also see the mean values of the consolidated ratings of all competencies within a cluster for the individual exercises in the row of the corresponding cluster.
Here, too, the various mean values are displayed to you either in numerical values or in the individually deposited symbols/characters. You can find out more information about the alternative scale labeling instead of numbers here.

The different values of the table are displayed in different colors
Competencies that are within the previously defined target range are shown in green. Competencies outside the target range are shown in yellow. An orange color indicates that the Candidate's competency is more than one scale point outside the target range. The mean values of each competency across all exercises, as well as the target profiles, are displayed in the same color pattern. To the right of the mean values of the consolidated ratings of each competency, you will see the "Target" column. Your settings for the target profile are displayed here.
If you have selected the scale labeling with symbols or characters instead of numbers, the column with the target profiles will not be displayed here.

In the table column on the right side, you have the option to set a final value for each competency of the Candidate - both for the scales with numbers and with symbols/characters. The column is marked with a "flag" at the top. By default, the calculated mean value of the consolidated ratings of each competency is also entered in this column. By clicking on the "pencil" next to the value, you can adjust the final value. A pop-up window will open where you can make the final consolidation for the corresponding competency.
To do this, move the slider to the left to decrease the number and to the right to increase it. To set the final value, you can choose values between one scale point smaller or larger than the competency mean. If you select a final value that deviates from the consolidated average by more than half a scale point, a message appears at the bottom of the pop-up indicating that this is a large deviation from the average.
You can adjust the final value in increments of 0.1. As you move the slider, the corresponding value is also displayed above it in a gray tooltip to help you adjust the value.
If you have selected the scale labels with symbols or characters instead of numbers, you can select a scale point larger or smaller than the consolidated mean value when setting the final value. No further gradations are possible between the different scale points that you could set as the final value. For more information on the symbol/character labeling function, click here.
Click "Ok" to accept the set value. Click "Cancel" to cancel the operation and the pop-up window will close. You can also reset your individual settings by clicking on "Reset". Then you will again see the automatically calculated mean value in the far right column and the pop-up window will close automatically.

You can only make the final consolidation in the Conference if you are the Moderator of an Assessment. If you have been assigned the role of an Observer, you will not be able to view this column in the Conference and make any changes accordingly, even if this function has been activated in the Cockpit for this Assessment. However, you can see the finalized values in the Conference as soon as they have been set by a Moderator.  For more information on how to activate the final consolidation, click here.

The color marking of the final values per competency is also based on the previously set target profile.
The finalized values are displayed in the consolidated matrix of all Candidates in the Conference. Accordingly, all mean values in the Conference will be calculated on the basis of the finalized values you have set. You can find more information about the Conference here.

The Self Assessments of the candidates are also displayed in the matrix - if you have previously activated this option in the cockpit. Depending on which setting you have selected in the cockpit, you will see two different rows/columns with values in the matrix. These are marked by the "Person" and "List" symbols. You can find more information on the different setting options for the Self Assessment of candidates here.
  1. If the candidates evaluate themselves globally in the competencies of the assessment, i.e. independently of the exercises, the candidates' assessments are displayed in the column on the far right of the consolidated matrix. Here you can see the corresponding Self Assessment of the candidates in the respective row of the competence. Values that have not yet been submitted are marked with an "N/A".

  1. If the candidates have carried out an exercise-specific Self Assessment in the Candidate Portal, you will see the assessment in the individual competencies on the right. In addition, the line below the consolidated matrix shows you the Self Assessment per exercise across the competencies. Values that have not yet been submitted are marked with an "N/A".

Table fields are grayed out or hatched if the exercise is not assessable for the respective competency, i.e. the competency is not queried in the exercise. If a field is white, then there are still unconsolidated values for the exercise or competency.

By clicking on an exercise (in the header) you can sort the values and thus also the competencies for this exercise in ascending or descending order, so that you can more easily identify strengths and weaknesses of individual Candidates. You can also do this with the mean values.
The table is scrollable sideways.

Further down the page under "Competency Profiles" you can see a graphical representation of the Candidate in the different competencies. In addition, the previously defined target profiles are displayed here to enable you to quickly compare the competency characteristics of the Candidates with the defined requirement area. The candidates' Self Assessment is shown here as a dashed line. The assessments in the individual competencies are indicated by diamonds. This line is only visible if you have activated the Self Assessment for the candidates in the cockpit (see "Self Assessment") and the candidates have also completed it (see "Questionnaires, tests and self-assessment").
Above you can see the legend of the diagram, in this case it is the name of the selected Candidate, the target profile and the Self Assessment. Click on the name to show/hide the rating profile in the graph. The name will appear in gray when the profile is hidden.
You can also display exercise-specific competency profiles. The competency profiles of the individual exercises are hidden by default. By clicking on the respective exercise in the legend, you can show and hide the profiles as desired.

Export the graphic by clicking on the "save icon" in the upper right corner.

The vertical axis shows the individual competencies observed in the exercises. Particularly long competencies are abbreviated. Click on the abbreviated competencies to display the full competency names in a tooltip.

On the horizontal axis is the rating scale. Here, either the numerical values are displayed or - if you have activated this function in the Cockpit - the individually stored symbols/characters.

In the diagram you can see the individual profile lines and points (consolidated ratings or finalized ratings from the Conference) in the candidate-specific colorsYou will also see the diamonds and the dashed profile line in the candidate-specific color. They represent the candidates' Self Assessment in the respective competencies.
If you click on the individual profile points, the legend will be displayed: The full name of the competency and the consolidation value (either from the consolidation or the finalized ratings from the Conference) of the Candidate in the respective competency, as well as the values of the target profile and the Self Assessment.
If you use symbols/characters as individual scale labels, this legend will not be displayed when you click on the individual profile points.

Notes

If you click on "Notes" in the bottom row, you can see the candidate-specific notes.

As a Moderator, you can view the notes of all Observers about the different Candidates in the various exercises. To be able to use this feature, the "Share Notes" feature has to be activated in the Cockpit for the respective Assessment beforehand (see "Features").
As a normal Observer or Lead Observer, you can only see your own notes here (if any have been made). As a silent Observer, you will not be able to see any notes.

Here the view differs depending on whether you use the iPad App in landscape or portrait format. The following explanations refer to landscape format, but can be transferred almost 1:1 to portrait format. In the Web App, you work in landscape format by default.

This notes page is separated into two areas by a gray bar. You can move the middle bar to the right and left as you like to increase/decrease an area. If you cannot resize the two areas further by moving the bar, an arrow will appear. Clicking on the arrow will hide the respective area completely, allowing you to view the information relevant to you in full size. Click the arrow again to show the area again.

On the left side you can see all typed and handwritten notes. Click on the field with the name of the Observer to display the respective notes. A new page opens with the notes (pen or text note), above which you can see the name of the Observer. The notes cannot be changed, only viewed.
On the right side you will see all the competency notes. The competency notes are assigned to the corresponding competency and the exercise in which this note was made.

If you are working in portrait mode, you will see a menu at the bottom with the options "Exercise" and "Competency". By default, you will see typed and handwritten notes under "Exercise". Click on "Competency" to view the competency notes.

All competency notes are collapsed by default and you will see an overview of the observed competencies of the Assessment. You can then click on the arrow to the left of the name of the corresponding competency to display the notes. An overview of the exercises performed with all assigned competency notes then appears.
Click "Expand all" at the top of the page to view all competency notes. Click "Collapse all" to not view any competency notes. You can also add new notes, edit and delete old notes, and favorite your own competency notes here.

If this feature is activated and you are the Moderator of the Assessment, you can only view the notes of the other Observers, but not edit them further. The notes of the other Observers are marked by the Observer's name below the note.

As a Moderator of an Assessment you have the possibility to add the competency notes of other Observers to your own notes. To do this, click on the competency note of the other Observer and a button with a "copy icon" and the inscription "Add to my notes" will appear. Click on this button and the corresponding competency note will be listed with the respective competency and exercise as your own note. A bar with the words "Added to notes" will also appear at the bottom of the page.
First, your own competency notes will be listed - here you will also see the notes that you have taken from other Observers - and below that you will see the notes of the other Observers.
Once you have added the note to your own notes, you can also edit, favorite and delete it as you wish.

You can filter all candidate-specific notes - both on the left and right side - by different criteria to get a specific selection of notes. By default, no filters are selected and you see all candidate-specific notes.
To filter the notes, you have four categories: "Competency", "Exercise", "Observers" and the selection of favorite competency notes. You can combine the different filters as you wish to display the notes you want clearly.

Once you click on the "Competency" filter, a drop-down menu will show you all the competencies that were observed and assessed in the Assessment. By default, the notes for all competencies are displayed. You can select a specific competency by clicking on the competency name in the drop-down menu to view only the notes for that competency.

With the competency filter, only the competency notes on the right side are filtered. The general handwritten and typed notes on the left side are not filtered and remain unchanged.

The "Exercise" filter shows you all exercises performed in the Assessment with a click in the drop-down menu. By default, the notes for all exercises are displayed here as well. Alternatively, you can select a specific exercise by clicking on the name of the exercise to view only the notes for that exercise.

This filter selects the notes on the left and right side, so you will see only exercise and candidate-specific notes.

The "Observers" filter shows you all Observers assigned to this Assessment in the drop-down menu. By default, the notes of all Observers are displayed. By clicking on the name of the Observer in the drop-down menu, you can display only the notes of this Observer.

This filter also selects the desired notes on the left and right side, so that you can then capture all notes of an Observer at a glance.
You can only view the notes of other Observers as a Moderator if you have previously activated the "Share notes" feature in the Cockpit. Otherwise, only your own notes are visible here and you cannot filter the notes by Observer.

You can activate the "Favorites only" filter with a check mark in the box on the left. You will then only see the competency notes on the right side that were previously favorited. The general handwritten and typed notes on the left side remain unchanged.

Reports

The "Reports" tab in the individual view of the Candidates is only visible to you if you are the moderator of the Assessment.

If you click on the "Reports" tab in the bottom row, you will see an overview of the report template(s) that you have added to the Assessment.
Here you will always see a preview of the report template that is slightly grayed out. Based on these templates, you can create candidate specific results reports at the click of a button.

Faulty templates assigned to an Assessment will not be displayed in the App, as no result reports can be created based on them.
For more information on how to add report templates to an Assessment, click here.
Click on "Generate Report" next to the name of the corresponding template on the basis of which you want to generate the result report. Depending on the complexity of the report template, it may take a moment to complete the report.
Once the report is generated, it will appear with the assessment- and candidate- specific information instead of the previous template. Depending on the format in which you uploaded the report template, you will also receive the final report in that format.

Click on the finished report to view it. A new page will open where you can view the report. At the top right you can view set bookmarks by clicking on the "Bookmarks icon". In the newly appeared window on the right, you will see the bookmarks listed. Click the "magnifying glass icon" to search for specific words in the document. A search box will appear at the top of the page where you can enter the search terms. Close the search box by clicking the arrow at the top left.

At the bottom right, you can click on the button with the two rotating arrows to regenerate the report, for example because you have added new notes that you also want to integrate into the report. A note "Generate report" will appear.
Once you regenerate the report, it will replace the existing report you are viewing. Click "Generate" to create a new report or "Cancel" to keep the current report. If you click "Generate", you will be redirected back to the overview page after the new report has been generated.
Depending on the complexity of the report template, it may take a moment for the report to complete.

Click the arrow at the bottom right to download the final report. A pop-up window will appear where you can choose in which format you want to download the report. Here you can choose the original file format of the report template you uploaded in the Cockpit (Word or PowerPoint) and the PDF format. Place check marks next to the desired fields and then click “Download”. If you want to cancel the process, click on "Cancel".
If you export the finished results report as a PDF file, there may be changes in the PDF display, for example in the formatting of the document. You will get the optimal representation when downloading the finished report in the original format of the template (Word or PowerPoint).

The finished result report also appears under the candidate-specific files under the "Report" tab. To do this, navigate to the overview page of the Assessment and click on the "folder icon" next to the name of the desired Candidate. A new page will open with the candidate-specific files. Click on the name of the report to open and view it. You can read more about it here.
The finished result reports are only visible for the moderators of an Assessment.
