Self assessment

Self assessment

NotesRelevant for: Workspace administrators, administrators (see "User roles")
On the "Edit Template" page, you will see the "Self Assessment" section after the sections "General", "Settings", "Scale", "Scale Labels", and "Competency-Exercise-Matrix".

With the self assessment, candidates of the assessment can assess themselves before, during, or after the assessment. Candidates perform the self assessment in the candidate interface. Therefore, ensure that candidates can log into the candidate interface. More information can be found here.

Activate the self assessment by clicking the toggle switch on the right in the "Self Assessment" section. The self assessment is disabled for candidates by default. Once you have activated the self assessment in the competence model, additional setting options will be displayed.

Here you can make various adjustments:
  1. Activate the toggle switch by clicking on the right next to "Rate competencies for each exercise" if candidates should perform a self assessment for each exercise separately. Here, candidates will see an overview of the exercises with the respective assigned competencies (as stored in the "Competency-Exercise-Matrix") and can evaluate themselves in the individual exercises.
Info
Please note that exercises cannot be evaluated if you have not defined competencies to be assessed in that exercise.
This setting is turned off by default. Candidates will then see an overview of all competencies recorded in the procedure and can assess themselves - regardless of the individual exercises. More information can be found here.
  1. Activate the toggle switch by clicking on the right next to "Share self assessment" if you want to use an exercise-specific and candidate-specific release of the self assessment during the assessment.
Info
This function can only be used if you have activated the exercise-specific self assessment.
More information on releasing the self assessment for individual exercises can be found here.
  1. Activate the toggle switch by clicking on the right next to "Competency description" if the description of the individual competencies you have stored in the competency-exercise-matrix should be visible to the candidates. This option is turned off by default. Candidates will then only see the name of the respective competency and the scale for self assessment.
  2. Activate the toggle switch by clicking on the right next to "Behavior anchors" if the behavior anchors of the individual competencies you have stored in the competency-exercise-matrix should be visible to the candidates. This option is turned off by default. Candidates will then only see the competency without the individual behavior anchors.
  3. You also have the option to enter an information text in the field under "Candidate Instruction", which will be displayed to the candidates in the candidate interface. Providing a instruction text is optional.
To deactivate the self assessment again, click the toggle switch again.
Info
Please note that once the self assessment is deactivated in the competence model, existing self assessments of the candidates will be lost.

After making your adjustments, click "Save" at the top to save the changes. The window will then close automatically, and you will be back in the template overview.
