Conference: Consolidated Matrix
Relevant for: Normal observers, lead observers, moderators (see "User roles")
In the “Consolidated Matrix”, you can directly compare the consolidation values of individual candidates across competencies.
If you have set up the final consolidation feature in the administration interface and established final competency profiles in the candidate’s individual view, these values will be displayed here. Otherwise, you will see the values from the consolidation. For more information on setting final values in the individual view, click here.
The two tables can be exported and saved by clicking on the “Save Icon” on the right. Additionally, you have the option to export all conference data as a CSV file. Click on the “Export CSV” button in the top right corner. You can then download, send, etc. the file.
These icons/buttons are only visible to you if you have been granted permission by the (workspace) administrator to export files from the assessment. Further information on the authorizations of the user roles can be found here.
You have two options for comparing candidates.
- Under “Rating,” you will see the consolidated or finalized values for all candidates by competency, as well as various averages.
- Under “Ranking,” a ranking of candidates by competency is created based on the ratings.
Rating
In the consolidated matrix under “Rating,” you see either the consolidated ratings or, if you have activated this feature in the administration interface, the final competency ratings from the candidate’s individual view in the conference. On the left side, all competencies observed and rated in the exercises are listed individually. In the header, you see all the candidates of the assessment. If you have defined competency clusters in the administration interface, logically related competencies will be categorized by clusters in the matrix.
Additionally, various averages are formed.
- On the right side, you see the automatically calculated averages of the consolidated or finalized ratings for each competency across all candidates.
- In the bottom row, you see the averages of the consolidated or finalized ratings for each individual candidate.
- In the bottom right corner, the average for all competencies is calculated, regardless of the candidates.
- If you have defined competency clusters in the administration interface, you will also see, in the row of the relevant cluster, the averages of the consolidated or finalized ratings for all competencies within a cluster for each candidate.
The various averages are displayed either as numerical values or, if you have activated this function in the administration interface, in the individually assigned symbols or characters. Learn more about using symbols/characters instead of numbers here.
The various values in the table are displayed in different colors. Competency profiles that fall within the previously defined target range are shown in green. Competency profiles outside the target range are depicted in yellow. An orange color indicates that the competency profile is more than one scale point outside the target range. The averages for each competency across all candidates are displayed in the same color scheme.
This color differentiation is only shown if you have activated the target profiles in the administration interface. Otherwise, the different competency profiles are shown in the default color of the assessment.
If you have chosen to use symbols/characters instead of numbers, the separate column with target profiles will not be displayed here.
When you hover over the individual table cells, a legend is displayed (not for averages).
If you are using the native iPad app, you need to click on the table cells to open the legend. You will see in which exercises the respective competency was rated and how the candidate was rated in that competency in the individual exercises. However, you will not see all individual values, only the consolidation values from the individual exercises.
You also have the option to view the individual results for all candidates. Click on the “Details Button” below the consolidated matrix under the respective values of each candidate. A new page will open (see “Single View Candidates”). You can also set a final value for each competency of the candidate individually here.
You can only enter the final competency profile if the final consolidation feature was previously activated in the administration interface. Learn more about this here. The table is scrollable horizontally.
Ranking
In the consolidated matrix under “Ranking,” a ranking of candidates is automatically generated based on the consolidated or finalized values - by competency and also across competencies. On the left side, all competencies observed and rated in the exercises are listed individually. In the header, you see all the candidates of the assessment. In the bottom row, there is also an overall ranking of the candidates.
If you have defined competency clusters in the administration interface, logically related competencies will be categorized by clusters in the matrix. In the row of the overarching cluster, you will see the ranking across all competencies within a cluster for each candidate.
The different cells in the table are displayed in varying shades of color. The intensity of the colors depends on the ranking of the candidates. High rankings are shown in darker shades and lower rankings in lighter shades.
