You have two options for using the Applysia observer interface:

1. As a browser-based, device-independent web version, or
   
2. as a native iPad app
   

The main difference between the two usage options is the hardware used to access the observer interface; all other functions are nearly identical. In the browser-based version of the observer interface, you can make typed and competency-based notes; handwritten notes are not possible. In the web-based version, you can easily switch between the observer and administration interfaces, provided you have the appropriate user roles. Performing and evaluating your assessment centers offline is only possible with the native iPad app.
Of course, a combined use of the native iPad app and the browser-based web version is also possible. Handwritten notes from the iPad app can be viewed in the browser-based observer interface, and vice versa, typed notes from the web version can be viewed in the iPad app.

When "observer interface" is mentioned, both the web-based version and the iPad app are meant.

The following screenshots are taken from the web-based observer interface in the browser (with some exceptions for iPad-specific features), but the screenshots can be directly applied to the iPad app.

Login web-based Observer Interface

To log into the web-based observer interface, enter the following URL in your browser’s address bar: “[YourWorkspaceName].applysia.app”.

Please note that the former login for the web-based observer interface via “applysia.app” no longer works as usual. At this URL, you will see a field where you can enter your workspace name, and you will then be redirected to the “[YourWorkspaceName].applysia.app” login page.

If you are an observer/moderator and not an administrator, you will be automatically logged into the observer interface. If you are also an administrator, after logging in, you will be redirected to your selected start view and will have the option to access either the administration or the observer interface (depending on the start view). For more information on setting the start view, click here. Alternatively, you can also access the observer interface directly via “[YourWorkspaceName].applysia.app/observer_view”.

You have two options to log into the browser-based observer interface:

1. Log in with your credentials:

1. Enter your email address under "Email".
   
2. Enter your chosen password under "Password".
   

If you have forgotten your password, click on "Forgot Password?" and follow the instructions. You can reset your password within the observer interface. A six-digit code will be sent to you by email, which you can enter in the observer interface to set a new password.

Check the box next to “Stay logged in” to save your credentials temporarily and avoid having to log in each time.

You can log into the Applysia observer interface using the same credentials you use to log into your computer or workplace services, such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory or Google. Click on the “Log in with [...]” button and log in to the observer interface as usual.

You can only log in via Single Sign-On if this feature has been previously activated by your workspace administrator in the administration interface. Learn more about this here.

From this login page, you can also access the Candidate Portal. Click on the corresponding “Candidate Portal” button.

You can switch workspaces by clicking the “Switch Workspace” button. You will be redirected to a new page where you can enter the name of the workspace. Click “Next” to be redirected to the login page for the new workspace. Alternatively, you can also enter the name of the other workspace in your browser's address bar (“[YourWorkspaceName].applysia.app”) and log in as usual.

If you are logging into the observer interface for the first time, follow the instructions in the invitation email you received from your workspace administrator.

Login iPad App

If you want to use the observer interface as a native iPad app, you can download it here or alternatively search for “Applysia” in the App Store.

You will be notified of new versions in the iPad app. We always recommend using the latest version. You can check the current version of our observer interface on your iPad using this link.

You can now log into the iPad app. First, enter your workspace name - that is, the domain of your organization - in the “Workspace” field. This was provided to you by your Workspace Administrator in your invitation email. Typically, the workspace name is your company name.

You have two options to log into the iPad app:

1. Log in with your credentials:

1. Enter your email address under “Email”.
   
2. Enter your chosen password under “Password”. You can also optionally reveal your password by clicking on the “eye icon”. This makes it easier to spot and correct typos.
   

If you have forgotten your password, click on "New Password" and follow the instructions. You can reset your password within the iPad app. A six-digit code will be sent to you by email, which you can enter in the iPad app to set a new password.
Additionally, you have the option to switch workspaces if you want to log into a different workspace. Click on “Switch Workspace”.
